Dr. Illangakoon is a highly qualified general practitioner who has embarked on the next phase of her career with us at The Discovery Health Centre, Mount Pleasant. She holds a Fellowship in General Practice (FRACGP) and a Certificate in Advanced Skin Cancer Medicine. Dr. Illangakoon has a strong clinical interest in women's health, child health, family medicine, as well as skin cancer screening and surgery. We are excited to have her as part of our team, where she will continue to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Dr Mangesh Jadhav [MJ] - Consultant Child Cardiologist. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Mangesh to our practice. He is the first private child cardiologist visiting Mackay, with plans to visit once a month initially. Dr. Mangesh is an experienced Paediatric Cardiologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of congenital and acquired cardiac problems in neonates, children, adolescents and up to 17-18 years old. Meet Dr Meeti - Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. Dr Meeti ( Meetiksha Malhotra ) started her private practice at Discovery Health Centre. Dr. Meeti is passionate about helping children and young people with complex mental health disorders. including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and psychosis. She has a special interest in neurodevelopmental disorders and learning disabilities, focusing on the assessment and management of ADHD, ASD, and Tourette's disorders. Her practice includes comprehensive assessments and personalized treatment plans that incorporate medication and therapeutic options, as well as parenting and behavior management interventions.

It all begins with an idea.
Dr Roshan is a compassionate and experienced General Practitioner who moved to Mackay from Brisbane with his family in 2018. He completed his general practice fellowship training in Hervey Bay as well as Brisbane and fully qualified as a general practitioner before relocating to Mackay. Since then, he has been working as a general practitioner in Mackay until the end of 2024. Dr Roshan and his team are starting a new journey in January 2025 focusing on high-quality, patient-centered care. He believes in treating not just the symptoms but as a whole person, considering the physical, emotional, and social aspects of well-being.
